|
|
Hi, Just recieved a copy of ERT as a gift from my Son who just got back from a holiday to the States. Game installed as version 2.1.3 so updated to 'a' then 'b', then fired it up, what a pain, it takes about 3 minutes to check the CD every time the game starts!
Is there a NOCD fix that will work with this version?
Any help would be appreciated. |

3 minutes is a sure sign of cdrom drive misalignment or cdrom scratch. Is your drive new enough for a replacement warranty, or old enough to be worn out?
The cdrom check is more like 10 seconds on my drive (a recent model 52x - not an old two speed drive..)
Remember, every house has hidden evil scratches just waiting to jump onto your cdrom like a dog infested with fleas.. gotta take care of them cdrom disks, and upgrade old cdrom drives once the current model is outpaced by magnitudes of order of speed increases.
Hope youve considered both these ideas, if not, then maybe it helped. |

I have a DVD drive, it installs from it ok but won't play from it
keeps repeating that it can't find the disk, so I put in standatd CD drive, it take forever but starts ok!! & at this point am putting in a new thread. |
