I'm not much into these modern ships. To me, there is only one style of liner - the four pipes like Titanic and Lusitania. They just seem so majestic when they sail the seas. These modern liners have no majesty about them whatsoever. |

I'm not going to vote on this topic, but I will say that I'm torn between three options.
The Titanic, the Normandie and the original Queen Mary. |

Canberra for me.
Named after my nation's capital.
Served in the Falklands (QE2 did, but Canberra did it with more balls )
Had a great look about her.
Ain't she beautiful. |

QE2 definatly i mean you cant beat her for years of service + luxury also i think the Aquitania should be up there she is a sister to mauretania and lusitania serving from 1908 till 1950. |

Four stacks on the Titanic- the fourth was only to make it look more imposing |

those modern era cruise ships are lacking in style department - true to their size - big time. I see them parked in our harbour everynow and then, not so big, but similar ocen going liners, and they are just big, big white multi storey houses with front having a shiplike bow. There's absolutely nothing special to them - they all look very similar these days, and they may have 40 pools and 60 shopping malls inside, but when talking visual appearance - they are not very appealing.
titanic like liners with that beautiful stern and vertical nose, long and with 4 stacks, that's a beauty. |

The worlds largest ship(by a small margin)has docked in southampton.
Apparently the ships appointments and amenities are markedly
inferior to those of the QUEEN MARY 2. |
My wife and I are booked for a cruse on Freedom of the Seas this fall. |
