I remember playing Aces of The Deep Command a long time ago and I rember being able to sink a warship or merchant by firing a "fish" at it from 50 to 100 metres deep. Has anyone done this in Silent Hunter III? Now be honest, eh? If you did, how did you do it? Robert |

50m is the maximum depth for firing. I tried firing a T4 (acoustic) from somewhere between there and 20m; didn't hit the target, though.
In the Type XXI, the Nibelung sonar is supposed to allow you to fire from between periscope depth and 50m, using a sonar contact only, but it doesn't work and I don't know of a fix. |
