One suggestion if its workable...
On the hatches at both ends of the control room, could they be modelled as if they were "open" with a fake view of what would be on the other side pasted onto where the hatch door would normally be?
Hmmm...hope thats clear. |

very cool also make the radio compartment hatch with the next fake compartment texture despite you can´t get into .
bow quarters, torpedo room and engine room. |
