One suggestion if its workable...

On the hatches at both ends of the control room, could they be modelled as if they were "open" with a fake view of what would be on the other side pasted onto where the hatch door would normally be?

Hmmm...hope thats clear.

very cool Rolling Eyes also make the radio compartment hatch with the next fake compartment texture despite you can´t get into .
bow quarters, torpedo room and engine room.
