I wish to make a purchase from the amazon.com site but it does not give me the option of [paying by switch.i do not want to use visa or mastercard.
amazon .co.uk will alow swich payments but they do not have the item i want.
my question is if i use a visa or similar credit card on amazon .com is it relatively safe?i mean compared to other internet ppl.
are they a well reputable company? |

I have never had any problems with Amazon be it here in the UK or the USA. I have made dozens of transatcions with Amazon and not once have I had a single problem from the billing side. I guess you could say that I am a happy customer. |

It was fine in Canada. Got a book off them recently for 1/3 the price of what it went for in 'normal' retail, and they delivered it rather timely. No complaints from me |

Only good things to say. Ordered quite many second hand books from US and UK, always delivered and no problems.

Only good experiences (amazon.de), friendly, good service. Year for year voted to be amongst the safest sites in Germany, concerning banking transactions.
On the other hand: internet business kills local stores. I used amazon a lot, but have moved away from that again, and now order there only when I can't get the item in town, or only for >significantly< more money. It's many of >our< jobs we kill when making some big fishes even bigger, and giving up on the local diversity of small shops.
Support small trade! They want to live, too.
See, that easily a question for banking safety can turn into a political declaration! |

My trick is to check my wishlist every couple of weeks and wait for those items I am after to be discounted 50-70% off then I snap them up. |

Amazon very good!
Without Amazon and Google, Subsim would be broke
If anyone is going to buy a game, book, DVD, whatever, I would VERY much appreciate it if you would enter Anazon through the Subsim Store Every sale helps, guys. Thanks.

Almost all of my purchases are through Amazon. I always go through the SubSim link as well. Great stuff! |

We had an account with Amazon.de but no one ever bought anything through it, after a year I took the links down. We do sell a couple items through Amazon UK every few months. |
