It's up at 3dgamers http://www.3dgamers.com/games/takecommand2man/downloads/ and gamespot http://www.gamespot.com/pc/strategy/takecommand2ndmanassas/download.html?sid=6146203
From madminutegames:
It includes high and normal res sprites, but does not include all of the uniforms varieties. It has the brigade and division tutorial as well as the Gibbons scenario. There is no open play. I think that it does a great job of representing the game. We took a lot of peoples advice and didn't give away the farm while still trying to do the game justice. Based on the scenarios there are only 2 maps shipping with the demo. We are very excited to have everyone play with the high res sprites, but you'll have to wait until you get your copies of the final game to see Jackson sucking on his lemon. |

I downloaded and played the demo of this game about a
dozen times. The tutorials were easy enough and I ended up
getting victories all the time. When I played the the reg. part
leading 4 regiments, I was confronted with both flanking generals
giving up and letting their troops rout or retreat. This lead to the
newspaper giving our army a major defeat. Twice I played only to
this conclusion but saw where you could continue. I played on with
a delaying action backing my 4 regiments up to the woods. When
confronted with overwhelming enemy troops advancing on my position, I ordered a retreat into the woods. To my amazement, the newspaper now called it a minor victory??? I can't wait to give it a try in the final game when it comes out. In my opinion, it rewards good strategy....
