I need this game. Must buy this weekend if I come across a copy in a store - CompUSA has not stocked it yet that I see since I continue to look.
Any reason for using Steam? I know it may be a great way to sell software at little expense, but the privacy concerns over Steam made me forget even about Half Life 2. Well, not entirely forget, but you can say that I didn't play a Steam verion of it, regardless of how much I want to support the developers. HL2 is the only game I have played to this day (20 years + of gaming) that I have not purchased a copy of when I somewhat enjoyed the game over this one issue.

PS. Can we still purchase the box version on the net at Battlefront? The point is, I will not support Steam and I would actually want a box set over any other format. |

I just DL'd the 1.03 patch and tried to execute it, but it gives me an error:
I loaded it again and got the same error. Am I doing something wrong?
The path was: Cumulative (V100 to V103) (English) (29.4 MB)
Please don't ask me to test a third time. I'm on dial-up and it takes me 2.5 hours / attempt. |

That's awfully generous of you. Many thanks. I'll try a different DL site tonight and I hope that I can get it loaded without any problems.
Really looking forward to trying this simulation from all the great things you guys have said about it. |
