Its great, but people need to get accustomed to playing multistation.
Its not a matter of it being complicated as a matter of deciding exactly how the different stations comunicate with each other so as not to have complete chaos aboard a unit and loose situational awareness.
Of course, players speaking the same native language are at an advantage, all things being equal.
I've played multistation on the p-3, the akula and even the frigate and once you try this multiplayer option there is no going back believe me Thumbs Up

Edit : I'd say that on a sub 2 players will have the maximum efficiency, as on the p-3 and the mh-60. On the frigate on the other hand, 2 players is sufficient (if you use autocrew on tma) otherwise you really nead a 3 or more crew.

In a GDT game there were two players on a P-3, while I was in an MH-60. The P-3 crew did a good job. Having a guy always watch the ESM/IR Cam is very useful from what I saw.

I've also been in a MS game in Subs and FFGs and its great. Several people can make the boat very efficient.

There are a couple nasty bugs that don't rear their heads until you play multistation. If you have a sonar contact that duplicates over and over, this means you easily get some 500+ bearing lines on a contact. On the nav map.

(Counter by sonar player dropping the tracker, btw. - but the cleanup is probably your own)

The effects of a player dropping or having to leave, however, should be well known.

I'm a little late to the party here but I found multi-station to be a great LAN party. It also has helped me hook new players since they can just learn one or two stations with me dictating the tactics.

Yes i have myself and a friend called soul chaser would often do multi station and found it great fun we would swap roles so one mission he had sole command while the next i would.

I had the line thinggy that mahuja said it was a big pain think we must have had over 1000 lines that just ruined it cause even though we carryed on we were blind for part of it.
