Just like to say about time we had "a ww2 tank sim", Panzer elite as been played to death by me.
From the looks of the initial graphic's on show, then it could be a corker, put me down for a copy |

My talking.
Maybe it would be a good idea to start any kind of initiative in tank forums and have people sign any form of petition to make the publisher aware of how many customers he will loose when he is using SF.
It's up to you, guys. Make yourself heared!
The developer of SBP had started an open debate in public in august and september, to see people's reactions to various suggested copy protections. The dongle received most sympathy, while SF received almost none. |

Sorry for the long delay, but apparantly the devs didn't have anything to show until now. And even now it's "just" another 3D Model, this time a Su-85:
(I had to increase the brightness-level a tad, as the screenshots were taken with a dark monitor-setting.)
I hope to have something more interesting for you next time... |

Ohh.. today is a good day!
I just got two more images from the developers. They show the Work-In-Progress of the Tiger 1's interior.
The driver's position:
The gunner's position:
This is shaping up to somethine nice, I'd say ... |

After looking at the pics of R/L and CG tank innards, I cant see ANY reason why a person would want to be inside one of these things during WWII!!!!!!
Cramped, smelly, hot or cold, no where to go when hit............definitely a death trap.
What would be cool would be an Africa Korp campaign!!!!!!!
German, Eye-tie, and Brit tanks running across the desert.
Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm.....good. |

Like T-72 Balkans on Fire. It doesn't look too bad, the graphics are at least (exaggerating down a bit) as good as SBP, but the physics are way, WAY far behind SBP. And I'll take SBP physics over T-72 graphics anytime. |

Agreed. Graphics are important, I want to see as much realism as possible. But physics and gameplay cannot be neglected. I would like both. |

|

While we all wait on the official announcement, the devs allowed me to post some shots of another vehicle - a StuG:
They said, that in the initial release of the game it won't be drivable (thus AI), but hinted that with a possible add-on/expansion that might change...
Here we go (as always - WORK IN PROGRESS):
Here's some more images:

The StuG has always been one of my favourites... |

Yes, all this looks very, very promising, but the physics will in the end decide whether the game will be a succes or not. |

Hello all,
Well I just upped my forum membership by a factor of one on the basis of this thread. If its survives the alpha stages and makes it to the shelves as a 'proper' simulation then you have at least one garunteed unit sold.
Oh yeah and thanks to the guy's from the SteelBeast's chat that pointed me over here!
Many thanks for info rrohde
And for the Devs
'If you build it they will come'
P.s
Any idea of when we can expect to see a Dev site? |
