I've created a historic mission (a RUM, see stickey in this forum). How do I upload it to this website? Thanks in advance. |

Thanks to Avon Lady:

Single player, late war mission. Fairly difficult, but not impossible and all the objectives are reasonable, I think, including 'easter egg' objectives.
Please read the readme and be warned, this version adds Buckley and Evarts DEs to the British Roster as Captain Class Frigates (which were very, very close to the US counterparts), although they still are identified by the WO as Buckley DE or Evarts DE. These units may appear in the campaign anywhere the Campaign_Rand calls for British DE Generic.
If you don't want these units, in a few days I will release a version that simply uses American DEs as they are.
Enjoy. |

Difficult! I did not join Bergen.
No visibility, heave, in spite of the drawn road, difficult to launch torpedos without being discerned.
I am going to begin again, with more successes I hope to attain Bergen!
Mission seems to me successful, they understand difficulties of Oblt Meyer.
Good historical, very nice presentation. Small precision, I think that the merchant was sunk by U-486 off the west coast of Ireland is a 6142 tonne transport the "Silverlaurel".
Thank you, for this nice mission. |

I bit darker than I intented. I assumed that my source was in English time, which put the attack at 1754 hours, and I built the mission accordingly. However, the attack was described to have been carried out in the evening, while in SHIII its already night at this time.

Are you familiar with Jungman's sensor Pak? It helps a bit with this, I think. For sure makes the snorkel less visible, but the scopes too I think.

Don't go home so fast! There is a hidden bonus in this mission for being like Meyer and waiting around for a bit.

The hour of SH3, represents a problem, to move forward the departure of 20 minutes would allow to have a better vision of objective in difficult mode ? |

Uhhhh...yahhh...
Not just 20 minutes, but probably a full hour. I was under the impression that my main source gave times in GMT (universal time) which is the time in the English Channel and also the time listed on your interface in the lower right corner. So, I thought the attack happened at 1755 GMT. However, checking another source, it is very possible that the attack happened at 1755 Central European Time, which converts to 1655 GMT.
Bottom Line- I think the mission may be starting exactly 1 hour late, which explains why it is so dark compared to historic accounts.
Sorry. I will fix this in version 2, which will not require changes to the British Roster like this one. |

Großer Sieg !!!
It was very difficult. Indeed as in reality in December, 44.
Having performed mission several times, I think of two modifications for version 2:
..To move forward departure at 16 h 55 as you offered.
..Announce new objectives with messages, because in another way it is necessary to press on the key F8 to know them!
If you want to include a French version in version 2, I shall be able to translate the text of mission!
Here I had a good time well! Thank you, a hellish day! |

1) Easter egg objectives are not announced in advance, they are meant to be found accidentally. But I know what you mean its good to know that you did stumble on an objective, I'll consider this.
2) I speak not one word of French, and I only know enough German to say that I am an Auslander and need help. If you want to translate a French version, go right ahead. Just give credit and be sure to tell me where you post it. |
