Hi,
I just added the alfa model from scxiic to the graphics file 3d.
Then altered the database so the akula would use the alfa model, and corrected position of masts, antenas and wires.
Lucky thing is the bridge position is exactly the same for this alfa model , so sam view is perfect.
Also you can change a bunch of other things like the object caractheristics, create new sensors for the alfa and use them.
You can also create the alfa class, and the right entity.
For all this you need the ludger's database editor.
Only thing that can not be changed is the loadout, so you will have to use the akula's loadout.
Changing this would envolve changing .dll files wich, at the moment I do not have the right knowledge.
Cheers,,,
and Happy New Year |

Yep also SCS would be pissed if you did do the .dlls.
Also playing online is going to be a -spank me!-. |

Yeah, you're right, SCS would not be very happy with people messing with the .dll's and I do not intend to.
Akula loadout is so much better than the alfa's!
Not sure what you mean with second sentence. |

You won't be able to play with other people who do not have the same modifications that you do, because all players on the same server have to have the exact same database files, to prevent cheating and multiplayer errors (of which I've seen some duzies... think a Kilo launching an Udaloy DD from its tubes :8 ).
Although if you don't play online or you have a copy of the stock or common modded database as a backup to install when you go online, it doesn't matter. |

You're right.
I haven't done many changes to database yet! waiting for the defenitive patch to come out and corresponding lwami mod.
Only then will make all changes to database to completely integrate my favourite drivable.
Also will have 2 database folders, and will rename to "database" the one that will be needed at the moment. |

That can be done very easily by editing the database.
In fact, that is one of the things we are introducing for LWAMI 3.xx! |

1) you are not supposed to do that without the SC authorisation
2) where anyone could see ANY interest in a hull without real hardware ????
I can't really understand that ...
it's just a nice hull, goo to see for 2 minutes and then to forget.
SCS is VERY clear on that point : YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO DEVELOP ANY NEW PLATFORM
Are you able to understand that ? |
