Hi

I am getting a bit frustrated with DW. I played alot multiplayer games so far with ppl all around the world (asia, europe, usa) and even though it works perfectly well at one time, DW is acting weird at other times.
Sometime people dont see the game in the game select screen (Main Menu->Multiplayer->Join->Protocol selection-> Game list).

For example: Person A just played a good game with person B. 2 hours later A wants to play with C, but it wont work. A hosts, C doesnt see the game. C hosts, A doesnt see the game. Still, C can ping A and vice versa. Then B comes back and hosts and A & C can join him.
Or another example: A cannot join B, but B can join A. Now C,D and E show up a bit later and wanna play with em. C finds out that he cannot join A, though D and E can.



One might say its my system, but its definately not, I have no firewall, no router, no software firewall, no software router, no virus, no spyware(no other process running in the background, except maybe hyperlobby/gamespy) latest OS updates, a ping of 14ms to my provider and I selected the right adapter from the adapters.txt (else it wouldnt work at all).
I am no PC noob at all (had jobs in the field, deploying PC, configuring PCs, setting up networks and also did some coding).


Since I got utterly pi**** with it I made a more precise log, but only started with it lately. Pinging the ppl was always no prob.

-Did a tracert to swimsalot and one knot didnt respond. Might that be the reason? Pinging worked fine.

I know, see that myself sometimes, very annoying.
I think it has to do with internet connections, not with the game.
But I could be wrong? :hmm:

I would think that if it's an issue with his connection, he would either never be able to host or never be able to join.... but he's been able to do both at different times. That's just wierd.
