As it seems to affect everyone on all of the forums (including this one) I am inclined to leave it here.

What makes me think its a DOS attack is one time when i couldnt access the site,i tried a few things. I couldl ping it and get a response back on ping times. I could run a tracert on it and i didnt have any packet loss at the whole route. Packets went all the way to subsims servers without a problem.
The site simply was not responding to any requests. Only reason it would do that i figure, is because its overloaded with them.
But this is all conjecture. All they have to do is check their traffic logs and they'll know if they're getting slammed or not. |

So far it seems to have helped, the forum speed is back to normal. Now we'll see about the long term performance. |

Same problem again for me today, Neal.
Monday, Dec 12. Florida.
Forum was not accessable from noon to 6 PM USA EST. I've been at the computer the whole time, checking every 30 minutes or so.
Not sure what gives. Thought you better know.
