I just reinstalled enigma after a long break, but im a bit lost now. Ive upgraded to the gold edition. Amazingly, ive failed the first training mission. In the manual it references a defend command for guns where they fire at the closest air target, and apparently this is on the b-tac menu, which i cant find. Also, how am i supposed to know what depth to set my depth charges to against an enemy sub? The only reason i failed that mission was because i ran out of time trying to sink that sub. |

All of your key and voice binds can be found by pressing th F1 - F3 keys (in missions/patrols). M brings up the Big Tactical.
Depth...ah...the nemesis of many a subhunter.....best thing to do is play as a sub a few times. |

Alright, thanks. One other thing, im playing the german campaign at the monent and have been assigned a lohengrin destroyer, and given a mission to take on torpedo boats. I cant beat these guys! My boat doesnt have maneuverability, it has good heavy armament but my gunners are terrible, and im not fast enough to stay at a standoff range. If i get in close i cant dodge their torpedoes. Help! |

http://enigma.tidesofwar.net has a walk through for this mission. (part of the trick is assigning your anti-aircraft weapons manually to fire on individual ships. |

Actually i have been assigning my aa guns to target the boats, but when im that close i can never dodge the torps because i get so little warning. I wish i could fire my 40mm but i have to stay up on the bridge and *try* to get away from those pesky torps. |

Steam away from them (flank) at an angle that lets the largest number of your weapons target them. Use the buttons on the HUD to assign the guns; click on a ship in the tactical (or with your binocs), click on a weapon icon, click fire. Just be sure to watch if that weapon group has destroyed it or not. Only assign the 50cals to the closest ship. 20's to medium range and 40mm to the farthest range. You can click on each 5" gun on the ship topdown (on the hud) and assign them one at a time (whichever side can see them) to a ship...you should be able to clean up. The ones that run...follow them....they will run out of fuel |

I dont think you know which ship im talking about, mine only has one 4", two 3", two 20mm, and one 40mm. Even at flank they will very easily and quickly outpace me. |
