I'm just coming back to SC/SCX in recent weeks and something is bugging me.

I seem to recall a few things about the mission editor that I can't seem to find now. First, when you first open the editor and right-click on the map, you get the option to create a single-mission by clicking the check-box. Didn't there used to be a check-box for a Campaign mission as well? That's what I remember anyway.

Now my second point is a little fuzzy... When setting up a goal, I'm sure there used to be a checkbox labeled "Use Doctrine Language" or something like that. After checking it, one of the subsequent pages would give you a series of pulldown menus to customize your goal. For instance, "If 'SSN 735' damage exceeds '50%', then 'mission failed'" ...or something along those lines.

:hmm:

Anyway, I can't find this function now and my memory's so fuzzy I'm starting to wonder if I ever saw it at all.

I'm running v1.08 with SCXIIc and SCU installed. I'm fairly sure this is the same setup I had before, the only difference being I was running Windows ME last time I installed, and am now running XP. Shouldn't make a difference I know, but I thought I'd mention it anyway.

So if anyone who knows more than me stumbles on this thread, please help me or at least confirm that I've gone mad. :8Cool

I think in SC the Start new campaign mission optionis on the drop down menu; in DW it appears after clicking the world map.

I think.

I haven't been able to find it in any menu unfortunately, also I don't own DW yet, so that couldn't be the source of my foggy memory. Sad

Thanks for replying though.

Ultra boy,

you do not have the options because you have forgotten to enable the doctrine language. Find out how to do that from this guide:

When right clicking on the map in SC you get a box with two options single mission and campain, single mission is checked.

Yeah, you get that AFTER the doctrine language is enabled in editor.ini, that's what I was missing. I had recently re-installed and it had been so long that I forgot all the little things you have to tweak.
