CSS Virginia
I was at the Mairners Museum after they started recovering her but before anything was on display or they made that Discovery channel special. I got to go out back in a nonpublic area and touch the propeller and few other bits and pieces. More rust than metal left. That was about 5 years ago. Why the hell did they change the name long after she had sunk, aint that bad luck or something - didnt help the "Virginia" at all.
Or is it the Monitor they have at the museum ??? I cant remember now. |
