688 Sonar suite for Akula

Remember reading that someone had developed a nifty mod.
allowing the use of the 688 sonar station in the Akula.

Searched with no luck. Can anyone help ?

Will it work in DW ?

688 screen in akula heard about it 688 screen akula in DW doubt it

I used to play the Akula with a Seawolf sonar interface all the time.

You have to go to your interface file in SC and replace anything that says sonar with the Seawolfs (or 688 I would guess) sonar. Just some deleting, copying and pasting really. There was around twenty to be replaced-cant recall exactly its been a while since I played SC. Each sub had the same number of files though so it shouldnt be to hard.

Of coarse save a copy of your original interface to be safe. Yep

couldnt you do that with one of those skins (think you call them that) xabbarus made a yankee SSBN skin for DW cant i copy and paste the akula interface so as i can use the yankee as a controlable platform ?

Thanks - a couple of ideas to try there. Am considering this for single play only.


My concern would be that wholesale export of the 'sonar' files may bring the superior sonar performance of say the Seawolf
along with iits suite to the Ak. A very deadly combination if this was unleashed in the MP community ! :know:
