I managed to understand how MP works,but i am appaled by the behaviour of most people.

1)most don't even say hi
2)They refuse any in game comunication
3)what is the meaning of letting people with Type IIA and XXI in the same mission?The poor Christs in IIA arrive in the area when the XXI has swept everything.
4)Why when the person that started the mission is killed you get booted out too?
5)Why don't people want to coordinate an attack and instead you see a rush to the targets and a competition of who will fire first?Then you see 12 torpedoes going for the same T3 tanker
6)Is it so difficult for someone to fire his stern LUT to help you get rid of the DD that 's DCing the hell out of you?

I don't know.i was hoping that MP would be like the wolfpack,but this is simply like a pirate assault where each one acts and thinks on his own ,hopes that the others will sink and he ll get all the kills :nope: I am disappointed...

Incredible.On a MP game an idiot fired torpedoes against the organizer of the mission while on surface so to close the server :nope: Confused

If you don't mind using auto TDC you're welcome to play with us. We use teamspeak to voice chat with each other. This eliminates the problem of going after the same target, and also aides with coordinating attacks. The TS IP is in my sig or you can post in our forums and we'll put a time together (www.ninjaserve.com).

I second Styker on that and his crew - top notch , lower realism but Im still see thats a good thing right now, and some real fun! Thumbs Up

Thanks Stryker,but since MP settings are all new for me,where exactly must i use your server settings (198.77.7.254:8767)?

I don't mind autotdc,i can play up to hard,but on ubi i ve never found one in hard,so it's always normal level till now.

SH3 multiplayer is currently in need of 2 critical fixes.

These bugs make multiplayer for clients nearly a deadly experience.

1. CLIENTS CANNOT HEAR PINGING

2. CLIENTS RECEIVE DAMAGE IMPROPERLY FROM DEPTH CHARGES, OFTEN CAUSES INSTANT DEATH or HULL stays at 100% AND LARGE COMPARTMENT DAMAGE

- This have been confirmed now with large number of players and multiplayer sessions, basically damage infliction on clients in multiplayer is totally broken. Clients will receive damage in 1 of 2 ways, both are incorrrect:

I - Depth Charges near the sub, even up to ranges of 50 meters will instantly cause hull to go from 100 to 20% or less and often instant death, while if you play single player or as host, you will receive appropiate damage in same situation.

II - Depth Charges near the sub, even up to ranges of 50 meters will cause serious compartment damage but hull will remain at 100% even if half the compartments have "red" damage and you are about to die. This does not seem occur when you are host or in single player.

This makes multiplayer very bad experience mostly for clients, this bug have been tested and observed for over a month and 80 hours of multiplayer gameplay with large number of different players.

Bottom line is this, currently multiplayer state of the game requries critical fixing.

What time of the day do you usually come on?

Hyperion, that IP is for our teamspeak server which is a voice chat program. I usually host MP off my own PC. So jump on TS and if you see myself, Eric Draven, Aquasal, Maverick, or Loctus on ask for a game of SH3. Argh

Ok Stryker,thanks.I think i got it up to a point.


My settings in the program are:

In settings
Test Codec CELP 5.1 (default)
Default guest name Hyperion

In connection: I added "Server TS",server address 198.77.7.254:8767 ,nickname Hyperion,login name Hyperion,password empty,autoreconnect on.

On connect i get error voice warning,"bad login (name and/or password wrong).

I ll try to make other combination settings.

I can usually play after 20:00 (GMT+1 zone)

EDIT: I managed to connect!
