Silent Dolphins campaign crashes

Every time I have tried to play Mission 6 in the otherwise delightful Silent Dolphins campaign, eventually the scenario crashes out to Windows. I did not have this problem during the previous scenarios. I have erased the saved scenario and started over twice, and once I reinstalled the entire game, all the way up to SCX IIc, but the result is always the same ... it may take a while, but eventually the program crashes.

Any ideas? I would really like to finish the campaign; it has been fun so far.

Win XP Home, SP2; Intel P4/2.6G, 1 Gb RAM.

Never heard of this problem before. Without any more info, I don't know where to start. You have SCX installed, right?

Thanks for responding. Since posting my original message, it has occured to me that I have not tried any other scenarios/missions since this problem occured. Lets put my inquiry on hold until I have played one of the stock missions ... if that crashes then the problem may be wider than one mission of one campaign. Any other diagnostic measures you can suggest will be appreciated.
