There's a book called Jane's Battleships of the 20th Century which has pictures and views of, well, 20th C. battleships/battlecruisers, including front/side/top views. Full color. Coupled with available stats on length/armament/speed/displacement etc. this might be sufficient for you talented individuals to make some models. I'd be happy to help out, but my assistance could merely be that of a research assistant I'm afraid...I can scan some of the entries and e-mail them to anyone who is interested though!

I would really like to replace the Flower class corvette in the game. I have one in my library which is Blue Bell. It is much closer to the real thing. Also I would love to do a Castle Class corvette like the one in Creul Sea movie.

At least half the problem is the modders themselves. Do you really think that them knowing the game will be modded makes them really want to put that extra time and effort into the skins and models ? horse crap, they say fk it the players will mod it any way and they shortcut like hell and it's more than apparent in the game especially the skin tga's. Purchasers have to demand more in order for them to listen, this is SH3 not fkn SH1 and by now the game should be alot more solid and have been produced alot better with more models less bugs and a sdk etc. UBI's part is shere lazyness and getting it out as fast as possible.

I like the game but it's not perfect or extrodenary as far as a engine by any stretch of the imagination. It merely just makes it as a game in that respect. If you want to see a great "sea" based engine check out Battlestations Midway by Mithis-now that's a sea engine !

I have to disagree with you here. It is the modders that give games longer life . I like to thank developers for allowing us to have this modding hobby.

Both of those are very nice, and I would love to see them in the game, as well as your others.

Nice models.

out of interest, is it an artifact of the modelling program that gives the strange perspective? it appears to have no vanishing point...

Weird, anyway I assume it is something to do with that.

These are not in prospective. They are in the user mode. THis is the Gmax program I use.
I only hope I can get more info and a place to send them from the developers. Otherwise they will remain as pictures . Unless you ply CFS3 of cause.

Seacondor,

Since the moment I started to play SH2/DC, I always wanted to have your models in the game. You've got a great collection. It should be quite a joy to have it in SH3.

Thanks Serg,
I have had some of the boys contact me again using them in SH2. I'm only to happy to share any of my ship models for it or SH3.
I'm also working up some new ones for CF3 MAW .
Out of all my ships I would like to see a Minesweeper cruising the German ports

Im glad they are considering using community models.

As long as this is included in a patch or somthing that is free im cool with that.

Hey so we can move the effort out of this should I make a forums for it?

Maybe you can also ask subsim to make a public forum for the effort.
