for the love of me help!!!!

first of all, im new to these forums, hi. warfleet hasnt helpd me, i have enigma rising tide gold ed. cant install. it just doesnt do anytghing when i hit the setup.exe. then wen i restart my comp/ shut it down. i see the splash screen for a fleeting moment then its gone. when i try to open up the games .cab files. it says their msising signature bytes. i think its a copy protect problem. my sound accel is at zero. and ive erased all my antivirus stuff. any othe rideas?? its also affecting me in IL2 sturmovik and SH3. so needless to say. i need help. bad. best sims in yaers. cant play em. i blame starforge Smile

BTW, i AM NOT A PIRATE so dont even think of bringing that up!

** its not a corrupted file, ive returned and gotten new copy 2 times, and have same prob with all demos of it.

Looks like either you do not have updated drivers on your video card, or your OS might be corrupted. :hmm:

my OS is in fine condition. and all my drivers are up to dat.e its a problem with the way my comp sees the file, and the file being encrypted, but not unyncrypting for install. probably a complication brought on by good ole starforce. warfleet hasnt responded to me in days. feh. im so sad.

Try a different cdrom drive to install with

Try get rid of the STF driver
1: uninstall/remove installed ERT files:
2: download and run http://enigma.tidesofwar.net/uploads/files/StarforceClean.exe
3: reboot
4 Turn off any and all AntiVirus, and Windows' Registry Protection feature.
5: install ERT
6: reboot
7: play

Do you have any cdemulators installed, such as Nero, Alc120% Daemon tools etc etc?

Try also chkdsk c:\ /f <-- replace c:\ with your actual drive letter.
