It mentions a "dynamic" method of submerging. Does that mean it dives only by forward speed and the dive planes?
Dumb question I suppose. How could you have RC variable ballast?
I want one! |

I'd hit it
Well, one day, I'll make a replica of one of my in-game boats. Radio-controlled - eh, not a bad idea :hmm: |

It means it can dive by filling the balast tanks.

I made a model of a IX that has a little electric motor so it can dive and come back up. Simple model, and under power can only go straight, but sill cool |

Well I'll be a monkey's uncle! A real RC submersible.
I haven't been to a hobby shop in years. Must go take a look at what's available these days. |

That is way cool. I would order one now except my bathtub is shorter than the boat. |

Phew nevermind the 300.00 price tag. Did you see the list of "accesories" needed ?
Ive seen cheap toy subs in the Swimming Pool stores. Wonder how you control them once their submerged ? |

A mate bought me one of the super explorer ones at the bottom of the list of 4 in varry's last post, good fun but my neighbour won't let me try it in his aquarium - he thinks I'd hurt the fish :shifty:
I made a model one that was electric powered, no RC though - when you switched it on it dived and then when it was about 6 inches deep a float disconnected the power and it came back up. Ran pretty fast too, about 5 feet (ie my bath) in about 2 secs. |
