Hey All,
Just a quick post to see what all the other Folks are playing besides SH3 and maybe also seeking validation for the ENORMOUS Hardware bill I foot every year or so that I spoon out to the PC hardware mfgrs. for new stuff!! I've had virtually everything as far as I know besides Tank Sims that has come out in U.S. for about the past 5 years or so. |

Right at the moment, I am playing SH3 but inbetween are these too:
Hearts of Iron 2, Pirates, Brothers in Arms
Still interested in: Call of Duty:UO, Joint Ops:Escalation,Civ3:Conquests
with a great expansion mod, Rome:total War
On my shelves are around 50 more I will probably never play again.
I will use them for trade-ins on new games...

Flashpoint Germany really dissapointed me single player wise. The bad guys only attack one at a time, and even HQ's and ADA units attack.
The AI is just plain bad and the game should not have even been put out yet.

I agree with you on the AI. Especially if you play Nato it's a cake-walk. Have you tried playing WP (preferably against Nato) and setting EW to high? It can be somewhat challenging then. There is also a ton of little things they need to improve and add but I do find myself enjoying the odd game here and there and see a lot of potential for ver 1.3 and beyond. |

Bertgang, then you should go for the new game coming out at the end
of April called "Imperial Glory". It's exactly at the Napoleonic age &
you can play 5 different empires in both strategic and tactical screens.
Go to www.eidos.com to learn more about it. There is a demo out too.

Thanks for your suggestions.
Imperial Glory is exactly on my favourite topic, and seems really interesting.
Having watched the demo, now I wonder about the managment of the troops on battlefield.
GCB is too modern for my current taste; lesson learned from 688. |

The demo I played you got to manage 2 land battles and it gave you
a good taste on what land fighting will be like. Did you try them?
