I have tried several times but, very time I launch a MK 48 it won't go into a search mode it just runs in a straight line. I have let it run for a few NM's but it won't search in active mode. Sad

Hi

Are you using SCX?, .. as, .. if so, .. the ADCAP will not Snake during it's Search Phase.

The real ADCAP does not snake, .. rather the sonar sweeps left to right in the ADCAP's nose. This behaviour is simulated in SCX.

So, .. not too worry, .. the ADCAP is searching fine ... Smile

Cheers
Tom

When my torp is running the cone does not change direction either, it just points straight ahead and doesn't sweep.

To clarify what Thomasew said, is that the torpedo searches by using its built in sonar which is located in the nose cone. There is no physical movement of any part of the torpedo whilst the sonar is doing its job. Once the sonar has picked up a target the torpedo will change course toward the target.
