THis is a request for the DEVS to change this in the next patch. It is hampering my efforts greatly.. sometimes I reload the mission ed 15 times in 90 minutes.. sometimes waiting up to three minutes for the copy protection to work.. extremely frustrating...
I can understand protecting the main game.. but the mission editor? geez... |

Kind of stupid when you think about it because you can't use the missions without the game. |

Hmm, copy protection check takes maybe 15 seconds on my system. Strange that it takes so long on your system.
Although firing up SHIII itself and loading a saved game will take about 8 minutes on my ststem

The mission editor uses the game engine too, part of which is of course protected.

Yeah between 2-10 seconds here.
I Run the editor and the game at the same time and go back to main menu in the game, then alt-tab to the editor, make changes, and then go back to the game and load my mission.
This works fine, as long as you go back to the main menu each time. This saves a lot of loading times. |

Problem is, this check is not any check, its starforce and when I use editor I usually have other programs running like winamp and starforce check really **** it up. |
