Pigfish: Are these all three from the same mission? One of them is not even in the game. (the one where the module name is unknown) Can you tell me what you were doing for each of the crashes and can you tell me if you can repeat them?

Hey Renzie. Heres another one:

They are all from a mission I made with mission editor. Nothing fancy. Most of them occure later in mission when I hot key to the OHP towed array station. Some of the same error reports more then once. This is what happened in the one I just posted here and can recreate almost immediatly when playing the saved mission.

Edit: If you want the saved game let me know where to send.

Barleyman, can you recreate this or do you happen to have a save game that we can use to make it happen?

Well, no. Althought I did get the replay crashes fair bit in SC, so I'm sure I'll eventually have end-of-mission save..

WRT out-of-blue-mission-crashes, without a savegame the crash data is not useful? Usually when you grind your teeth and go back to earlier mission save (if you have one!!) the game won't crash, at least not the same time/way.

It's been too quiet in this thread for a while, so ...

I got a CTD when I was trying to save a game:

This happens in the mission "Aleutian Operations" (available at - you know it - http://www.subguru.com). The game starts to write a file, but for some reason can't finish it. This crash is reproducible, all that's needed is to load an earlier save game and then try to save. I can send the save game in e-mail, you'll just need to tell me the address where to send it.

I sent some saved games and read mes to Sonalysts a while back regarding crashes in longer missions with the OHP. I wonder if any progress was made? :hmm:

I get a crash to desktop everytime I click on the 'OPTIONS' link within the main menu of the game. Something to do with Direct 3D? I'll go back to playing my boring azz Silent Hunter III game until I can get some help with this one! I'd rather be playing DW though!!!

Hi my wizzards from Sonalyst Smile

Vers. 1.00 to 1.03 official patched

DW silently crashes back to desktop as i click on the ok button in

Multiplayer / Host / Configuration / Connections Screen

On the connectionscreen there is nothing to select...maybe there should be something to choose i guess. Only the Cancel and OK Button.

As i click ok the screen, it keeps the same for 1sec. and closes.

No Errorbox!
I also cannot see others games to join.
Out of Gamespy he hosted, I joined...
Multiplayer - Join - Configuration Screen comes up with his ip inserted. The OK Button is not clickable, i first need to click cancel, then reenter the Join Screen,
then clicked OK -> Connections Screen (again nothing to choose) -> OK -> Lobbyscreen with no session avail!

I tried some names of my adaptername in the .ini , maybe they was wrong?

Singleplayergame works flawless, no CTDs so far.

Many Thnx in advance!
Greetz

sometimes if im using dynamic locations in the mission editor, then i save and try to play the mission, i get a CTD will loading the map. But after running DW again it works just fine. Only crashes when going from the mission ed to playing the game after saving the mission after having just messed with some dynamic locations.

Sybie, did you try a fresh install?
Ohh, and you could try to play in windowed mode, you should then get a windows error msg.

hi Fish!

yeaa i tried in all possible resolutions and in windowmode (needed to switch desktop to 16bit color first).

no errorbox!

I also reinstalled the game once after i had the 1.03 beta update running for a while to get the offizial 1.03 a solid ground!

I´ll reinstall again and try in Vers. 1.0 if the hosting procedure fails aswell.

Can u show me a screenshot of your connectionscreen and the screen that follows when YOU host?

Thnx m8 for your time!
-Sybie :hmm:

PS: I´m addicted to this series since 688i from years ago! Very Happy
