I recently discovered Larry Bond.... which is odd seeing how he has been writing fiction for a long time.

I'm about to finish Red Phoenix which depicts a the cold war going hot in the Korean theater. There are some interesting submarine tactics involving a single Tango class against an amphibious landing group among other diesel submarine encounters. If you have not read it... pick it up.

JUST DON'T TELL ME THE ENDING QUITE YET!

Thumbs Up

Hey Snake, if it is ok with you, I moved your post to the Books forum. It still has a link in the DW forum, Thanks!

Overall a good book. His concept of the U.S. Soldier is a little dippy, but besides that pretty good.

I've just received it from Amazon and started reading yesterday. Someone on this forum wrote about this book that its story develops a bit slowly at the beginning and I copy that Wink So far I finished only Chapter 13 and must say that these "Washington/Capitol/bill voting etc." bits are somewhat longish and I can't wait to see some action.

PS. After I finish this one I start with "Red Scorpion" I've got with "Phoenix" Wink
