Let's say there are two or three ships in the periscope and I want to mark one as my target; how would be a better way to do that? I'm not being a smart-a**, just wondering what other ways might work. I didn't mind the triangle in SH1/2, but I know there are people adamantly against it and wonder what would you prefer in its place. |
I agree that the triangle is needed for those that dont bother to use manual TDC. However I will be very dissapointed if the triangle is still there when manual TDC is enabled. It drove me mad in SH2.
I'm not worrying, It can probubly be modded out if it is there. |

Who would do that? You? Maybe, you can help us out to get rid of this thing in SH2. |

It has to do with some competition or whatever. Details are said to come next week. |

May be the red triangle only appears once you have LOCKED the target, but not before you do so. :hmm:
In that case, it is not so bad. You will not have the help of the red triangle flashing on the horizon before you see the enemy, but will simply have it fixed to tell you the target currently selected. In any case, it would be even better if the triangle is NEVER there when playing in the most difficult realism setting. :8 |

Point taken, but SH3 is likely to use a diffrent system for creating the red marker than SH2.
(I you want to get rid of it in SH2 stick some blue tack over it ) |

Based on available info (including last chat) it looks like SH3 will be much less moddable than SH2. Good luck in getting rid of red triangle.

That is how you are planning to get rid of it in SH3? |

Thanks for looking into this Neal.
Also....If you could just take note when you are checking out the Jan build it looks like in the periscope view the bearing marks are every 5 degrees. Could you check to see if they changed them to one degree marks for the hardcore TDC guys?
Many many thanks.
Neal...you ROCK! |

What do you guys have against that little insignificant triangle?
Sorry, but I don't get it, it doesn't seem so bad. :hmm: |
