There's actually 7 subs (and a cluster of giant barnacles on the side of the Yankee :8)
Trafalgar
Trenchant
Akula
Kilo
Typhoon
Yankee
and 688
Don't ask...

Nope.. just the missiles. Torpedo tubes are located at the bow.
If we're talking about the Yankee, that is |

XabbaRus if i would like to create models for this game too, what do i have to know before i start with modeling?
And how do i the conversion to sc model format.
also physics and metrical data?
-what's the poly limit of the models
-map size and how many maps for each model. does it support map id's
maybe you could make a small discription on how you make your models for the game, please. That would be totaly smashing. |

Go to my site and you will find a tutorial on making a submarine model.
Also I don't have the pluign to convert to J3D format.
You need 3DS MAX and 4000 polys is the max. |

ok thansk.
4000 poly isn't much.
what's the max size of the texture maps?
can i spread it over couple maps with map id's or is it limited to only map for each model.
and what about the animated parts? like the screw blades.
is it a animated texture or moving objects? |

I think you can have up to 32 maps per model and the screw are animated in game.
You can make real screws or you can use pictures mapped onto little boxes.
4000 polys has been enough to make good models. |
