|
|
I am new to the game, and have installed the patches, and SCX mod. (All installed correctly) [I do not have SCU installed yet.]
I have played a few games and had no problem.
But I had a problem in a mission I downloaded from the SubGuru site (Convoy Chaos = Attack a US convoy bound for Europe with troops and material for NATO = XabbaRus)
I went with the standard load out, and when I tried using the 63-75 I had problems...
First I could not acces the presets (I could on all the other weapons)
When I fired it I did not get a "torpedo runing normally" report.
And it had a speed of 0 (Zero) (it sat there DITW)
I tried firing from a depth of <100ft incase it was a depth issue. Same thing.
This problem repeats everytime I do this mission.
I havent tried any other missions with a Akula yet, so dont know if this is just a problem in the mission, or something else.
What am I doing wrong???
Thanks,

Hmm, so is it a bug in that mission? or in the game...

It's a bug in the game. I've seen similar with that weapon and others in a wide variety of missions. Including one with me, an airport, three heloes, and a destination goal the other side of a tight passage, so there was no overload problem there. |

It's most likely a corrupted version of a mod that does it. I only fixed my copy after I did clean reinstalls of EVERYTHING and re-downloaded all my mods. It's time consuming. Since fixing it the problem has not returned.
My SS-N-16s were fixed the same way but I just noticed that they don't function on a recently downloaded mission.
Who knows? I'm hoping DW will make my SCXII modded a shelf-piece. We'll see. So far the game looks pretty much the same as SC but with more platforms. It does not look revolutionary like many others say. Ok... I admitted it... |
