Savas Beatie and Subsim Review have joined forces to create a U-boat trivia contest! The first question will be posted on the Savas Beatie website February 1, 2005. Check back at Subsim for a direct link to the first question next week.

A new question related to U-boats and the Battle of the Atlantic will be posted every two weeks for the next three months (six quiz questions total). The prize for each quiz? A signed copy of either Hunt and Kill: U-505 and the U-boat War in the Atlantic (http://www.savasbeatie.com/U-505.html) or Steel Boat, Iron Hearts: A U-boat Crewman?s Life Aboard U-505 (http://www.savasbeatie.com/GoebelerU-505.html).

I'm confused. Ubisoft says:

Savas Beatie and Ubisoft/Silent Hunter III have joined forces for a new untersee campaign into the deadly waters of the Atlantic: our U-boat trivia contest!

Subsim says:

Savas Beatie and Subsim Review (www.subsim.com) have joined forces for a new campaign into dangerous waters: our U-boat trivia contest.

The contests are on different pages and have different questions but seem very much alike.

Are these actually TWO different contests and can i enter in both of them or what?

Sorry for the confusion!

There are TWO separate quizzes running, and you can play in both as they are different questions, etc. So two chances to win!

Mr. Savas has been working a small role as a consultant with Ubisoft for a long time, and ideas like the quiz, and so forth, have been discussed for more than a year. Subsim has been an active and enthusiastic supporter of Ubisoft and SH3, and does the best job of any place on the internet when it comes to submarine and related naval information, games, and so forth. So we thought we should also do what we can to support Subsim. The tie-in seemed appropriate, and there are many people who do not visit both websites (as odd as that seems).

And . . . there might, on occasion . . . be OTHER goodies thrown in with the winning submission . . . Smile

So support Subsim by telling all your friends and anyone even remotely interested in naval affairs (whether they participate in the quiz or not).
