|
|
Wow! Looking at the trailer movies for the new WWII sub epic Silent Hunter III I began to Drool!
The fact of the matter is, WWII history for me is something I cherish but I am more into modern submarine warfare.
Imagine a modern sub sim with the rolling sea graphics of SHIII?! The thought just keeps you up at night!
Anyone know if anything modern is on the horizon for us "Sewer-pipe Sailors?" |

I'm such an idiot! I had no idea!
I can only sim and be on the net so much... I'm not as "in touch" as I used to when I was a kid. |

I dunno...I'm not crazy about this whole "not in stores" kick....makes it that much harder to return in case the game doesn't work right... |

Agreed. It also makes it harder to convince friends to buy it if they can't just grab it at Wal*Mart.
But, I guess it's reality that this game isn't going to be blockbuster-popular with the typical gamer (unless we get more flightsimmey and aircraft carriers and "every day is nuke release auth day, woohoo"). Therefore, with lower unit sales, there's not that much cash to be made....and selling off of a website (while retaining in-store pricing levels) is more profitable. With any luck, they'll make enough to make it worth their while to appease this little minority of gamers (us, that is). |

Snakeeyes your SA did work well but the TA? LOL...
I don't think u cant compare DW with SHIII regardless of modern sub-warfare sims VS WWII sims...
As a fact you won't see the animated crew and you won't hear the whole AI comms like in SHIII (from what i saw so far). This I'll still be missing a little
Even if in multiplay mode that feature wouldn't make much of a difference anyway and the complexity 's supposed to keep u busy enuff! |
