I was tracking a "FALSE CONTACT" in an Akula earlier and ended up finding out I had been looking at a Sea Wolf.
Very interesting.
Is this something the real Seal Wolf is speculated/known to have? If so, how does the techology work? |

It wasn't a Seawolf pretending to be a False Contact I think you just miss-identified it as one. FC sounds a little like submarines- but it takes an experienced player to see what’s what. |

What causes false contacts in real life? In the game, are they objects placed in the scenario editor or dynamic things within the game? |

In the game they are objects located under Submarines>Civilian in the mission editor's selection of platforms.
I'm not sure what causes them in real life but I guess I could be seismic stuff in the earth’s crust, or things floating in the water, or sounds bouncing in from a distant CZ. Could some real life Sonarman shed some light on this? |
