I have been looking but have not found it yet.
Can anyone tell me the subject depths for Seawolf, 688i, and Akula's?
Thank you,

Do you mean in the game, or in reality? (The latter is, of course, classified). |

Sorry Bill, I should have said the game and I am using SCXIIc. Also if it is not to much trouble could you direct me to SCU, I want to read up before I start using it. I am not clear on changing subs, plus for some reason this morning I have been unable to locate the site.
I was pretty sure the real depths would be classified, they always were when I was on the boats.
But now days with right to know-who knows.
Thanks again,

For SCXIIc, the database says:
688i: -491 meters
Seawolf: -656 meters
Akula: -656 meters
For the american subs you'll have to do the meters to feet conversion, and I remember some discussion about varying it, around the time of release. |

To clarify - the time sub command was released. I think it was some time ahead of it. Don't know if that made it into the code though. |

SCXIIc includes SCU, so if you have the former, you have the latter. |

I am still tying to find what Test and Crush depths for the 688i, Seawolf, and the Akula are in SCXIIc. I know the real figures are classified, but I am assuming that when you gentleman build this you have figures you use. I would appreciate it very much.
Thank you,

Take each boat out and see when the XO says "sir passing crush depth!" and then you'll know.
There is no real "Test Depth" in SC, unless you count the "Sir Approching crush depth" warning as test depth.
I think crush depth for a 688(i) is around 1800 feet, a Traffie is 2100 feet, and a Sierra II is 863 meters in SC. |

Is there really a warning from the XO in SC?? I don't remember anything like this. It's always just imploding
There is probably random amount of time you can survive under the crush dept in SC.
:hmm: Any voluntiers for the test ? |

I've just checked. There are two warnings on Akula as well:
diving officer: Kapitan, approaching maximum depth!
Kapitan, passing maximum depth!
My Gepard passed about 700 + 30-50 meters, and managed to surface
