Just got it. Great Game!!!

One quick question.

How do you zoom the map in and out when you are sailing? The manual says mouse wheel, but I don't have a wheel.

I know "v" toggles view, but I think you are suposed to be able to zoom as well.

anybody?

Rick

Well, this is my first ever visit to the Sailing Ship Board. Why? Because I was at a friend's house today and noticed he had the new version of Pirates. Three hours later I finally tore myself away. I used to play the original on my Atari 520ST...I have GOT to come up with some money for this one! Great Redo! Rock Cool

Laughing Laughing Laughing
Unfortunately it was a pretend trial, so he only has to pretend to pay me. Still, he keeps pretending not to.

I know I had tried every key on the keyboard.

+ and - work, but I'd missed it because I get a considerable delay before it actually zooms.

Thanks guys.

Yea I really like this new pirates game. The verdict is still out on the sword fighting (seems a bit to Disney)

In the original version it was just a 2D side-scroller. You and the enemy captain danced back and forth across the screen. I don't think the legs even moved, just the sword arms.

I love it in this one when you press "Chop", and your character grabs some extra piece lying around and whaps the other guy with it. Cool

They moved back and forth a bit in the original just not like they do in the new one. It was part of the strategy since you had a lunge that would reach further than the other swings.

Sailor Steve, did you ever get your copy of "Pirates" yet ?

Slicein' up captains isn't too hard to do, but dancing with the ladies is driving me nuts. Damn

Well back to the caribbean. Thumbs Up

No, but I've played at my friend's house again. I don't even know what the requirements are-my computer may not even run it.
