Just got it. Great Game!!!
One quick question.
How do you zoom the map in and out when you are sailing? The manual says mouse wheel, but I don't have a wheel.
I know "v" toggles view, but I think you are suposed to be able to zoom as well.
anybody?

Three hours later I finally tore myself away. I used to play the original on my Atari 520ST...I have GOT to come up with some money for this one! Great Redo! |
Dosn't Drebel still owe you from the trial??
All kidding aside I just ordered "Pirates" today, probably Friday delivery. |

Unfortunately it was a pretend trial, so he only has to pretend to pay me. Still, he keeps pretending not to. |

I know I had tried every key on the keyboard.
+ and - work, but I'd missed it because I get a considerable delay before it actually zooms.
Thanks guys.

Yea I really like this new pirates game. The verdict is still out on the sword fighting (seems a bit to Disney) |

In the original version it was just a 2D side-scroller. You and the enemy captain danced back and forth across the screen. I don't think the legs even moved, just the sword arms.
I love it in this one when you press "Chop", and your character grabs some extra piece lying around and whaps the other guy with it. |

They moved back and forth a bit in the original just not like they do in the new one. It was part of the strategy since you had a lunge that would reach further than the other swings. |

Sailor Steve, did you ever get your copy of "Pirates" yet ?
Slicein' up captains isn't too hard to do, but dancing with the ladies is driving me nuts.
Well back to the caribbean. |

No, but I've played at my friend's house again. I don't even know what the requirements are-my computer may not even run it. |
