There doesn't seem to be much interest considering what a great game Enigma is. :hmm:

Keep your blinkers on and only see what is before you.
Take them off and let the world open up. |

I was always myself afraid that 'Enigma' would have a hard time keeping up in the MMOG community if other hardline and graphically sophisticated simulation-titles like 'Silent Hunter III' and 'Dangerous Waters' came to be launched first. Both of the latter came with at least 'some' primitive MP capacity - not to mention, a vastly deeper and more compelling SP experience (it's hard to argue against this, in light of the fully dynamic and historic campaign mode featured in 'Silent Hunter III' and the multitude of dynamic, real-world scenarious featured in 'Dangerous Waters'). |

Instead of giving us a hypothetical world and hypothetical ships, they could have given us a real starting point like just at the start of WW1 and let us design our own ships within bounds of historical research and available designs and then slug it out on the ocean! Just think of it! The Hoods, G3s, Lexingtons, 8-8s or H classes along with the other more historic designs. Something like 'Sim Battleship' or design your own battlefleet.
They've actually got a pretty good, if somewhat simple, system and I think it would have been perfect for such a project.
Just my two cents,
