Neal did mention that the Dev Team were on a break/holiday. This is for the staff the calm before the storm.
I presume the next 3 months will be 7 days a week, 12-18 hours a day whilst they run up to gold.
The demo is, if I remember correctly, a month before gold, so that would make it late January.
I do miss my fix though.

No reason to spoil us. |

Lets all hope everything is going as planned. At least there are videos as evidence that the game is playable.
One of the only games I was looking forward to has recently dropped off the radar. It was called Wartime Command and promised to bring historically accurate battlefield strategy to the PC. I have followed it in anticipation for over 2 years now (maybe longer), only to find out why the devs stopped posting on the forum was because something was wrong with the game engine and is basically concelled until they can figure it out. it was originally planned to be released spring 2003, pushed to spring 2004 to add new content, then summer 2004, then winter 2004, now nothing.
Guess this kinda thing happens in the game biz.
Am now looking forward to Silent Hunter 3. And I sure hope there is an accurate and user friendly manual firing feature, since that is what I am most interested in. I have read the notes in the preview about it and so far it looks good. Just have to wait for the release to know for sure. |
