hi guys, im fairly new to the subsim genre, but ahve become pretty interested in DW. I was wondering if they had any plans on adding future ships such as the new Virginia class subs, or the Aegis destroyers and cruisers. thanx

Its been said that if DW sells good that add-ons will be made.

But we need some good OPFOR platforms before we expand the US inventory. Wink

(Secretly hoping for a Kirov CGN)

My secret hope is for a Western Diesel interface - so that Collins, Swedish boats, T 212 are all playable...

I don't think SA is going to add its Hydro-Mandraulic propulsion system...

or a May insted of a Bear Pigfish.

Also a Helix ASW helo is needed.

The only real OHP counter ballance I can think of is the Krivak since it have plenty of units in service. But I think the three versons might need to be combined to give her sufficent ASW capablity. Unless they decide to go with a DD then its a whole new ball game. I'm thinking Udaloy then.

I like the idea of being able to drive around an allied (Western) diesel. And I would like to see and OPFOR surface unit (Krivak or Grisha???). But I gotta admit that I would most appreciate an Aegis capable U.S. Surface Unit (ie. Ticonderoga, Arleigh Burke) first. Kinda round out the U.S. fleet and then go from there. Who knows.....maybe Sonalysts can make a package that includes 4 or 5 more units. :hmm:

Good that we're all thinking ahead. I think it shows we all have great expectations of this genre in gaming software.

I would like to see a Aegis type ship.

Like anti missile defense and electronic tracking of targets.

And have the amount of firepower one of them supposedly has.

I think that would be the most fun ship.
