I dont think theres exact release date set, but i assume it will be sometime before end of this year

Simple. E.g. When you don't give out any release dates, it doesn't matter if something comes up (a glitch, a bug, whatever) at the final stage. You don't have to explain anything to anyone and the whole team can just concentrate on fixing the possible glitch and finishing the product without breaking any extra sweat. If you had announced a release date, then you'd have lots of explaining to do for everyone if the devteam realizes just a day before the given date that there's a major bug in the game.
I've always felt that the "it's ready when it's ready" is the best and the only way to go  |

first,it was said that the game will be released in the second quarter of 2004,now its 4th,i hope it won't be the 4th of the 2005.
we are looking forward to playing this game,after checking this site everyday,we get more enthuastic |

| Well considering it is in Beta, and it has been unofficially announced to be out in 2-4 weeks, I wouldnt be so pessimistic. |

according to battlefront.com forum,it is said that the pre-ordering will be available in december,which means the game will be ready near the xmas.
really bored of waiting |

Xenonguy, you beat me to the punch. Martin on Battlefront.com said that they plan to start pre-ordering 2-4 weeks prior to actual release and he expects pre-ordering to start early December, so it looks like they will release right around Christmas.
