I don't think sub torpedoes circle unless they malfunction. I think the other option is just for it to run strait. |

I read, or see in a DW movie, circle option can be chosen in torps launched by helos, at least. Yes, there is a screen where you can see it. |

Question: is search pattern maybe linked to national navy's doctrine? The same doctrine that influences what kind of weaponry is developed, and carried by a platform? I wouldn't be surprised to hear that such a link searchpattern-national navy exists. But it is a question of mine, no statement. |

I second TLAM strike ... I know the snake pattern but I believe the other one is not circle.... ... this could means that the torp may search even for the shooter.... .. and must be carefully wire guided..
I am wondering if the flower pattern is also available for some missiles like harpoons...if they still do exists....
