I have found an error in the installer. Under certain conditions, two files didn't overwrite the old ones. If the side menu does not look like this one or work opposite to the main gauges, then you must install this fix (extract the content right over your PA dir after patch it).
SlideMenuFix.zip
I corrected also the installer in this behavior. The hosters can reload it under the well-known link address.
I apologize for this because I am not the installer expert in the PA team. |

after installing 1.1 my 'q' menu looks much like it did before except the needles on the gauges are white. the 'f4' screen also has the white needles (in the positions they where before the patch), but has the graphics from the SH2 german guages, so the needles aren't on the gauges.
I extracted the slidemenufix to the main paciffic aces directory, and it doesn't seem to have had any effect. |

ok I got that worked out, it was installing into a new folder in my SSI directory, I pasted that over the PA directory and that fixed the graphics.
the slidermenufix.zip fixed the compass.
the only problem left is that, on the 'q' menu, the speed signaler shows the new graphic but the needle and 'click locations' for the mouse are still in the old positions. in the 'F4' menu it works properly. |

Ok, just finished downloading the 1.1 patch and the sounds upgrade.
Installed them both and played the game. Can't say I can see any
difference in either the sounds or graphics, just the same as it was
before the upgrades either they haven't installed properly or I'm
blind and deaf I haven't experienced any problems before with any
mods or upgrades, strange how it's happening now. I did read the
read me file for the 1.1 patch and right at the bottom it states there
wasn't enough time to include graphical changes for the slide menu,
civilian ships, various torpedo's for US subs, new Gato and Balao inc.
40mm AA guns, new Q sliding menu, new gauges screen and new high
LOD units. so what's the point of this mod then |

Your list is exactly what has been included in the patch among other things. |

exactly that one
after patching my version has:
- new graphics for sonar and radar
- new graphics for slide menu
- new graphics for gauges
- new sounds
- japanese subs are able to kill me (never happend before)
- the map icons changed to the right color
- the Gato/Balao have 40mm after April '44
- and many more

And you can't read too.
The readme says:
There was insufficient time to add the details of these additions.
Briefly :-
1. New high LOD units ( Merchants, BB, Carriers, Cruisers, DD, Jap aircraft) (Sergbuto)
2. New Gauges screen ( Darkstream)
3. New Q Sliding menu ( Darkstream)
4. New Gato and Balao to include 40 mm AA guns. (Sergbuto)
5. Various torpedoes for US subs, including steam, electric and aucoustic types.(Sergbuto)
6. Civilian ships (junks) added
7. Graphical changes for the slide-in menu
and the readme is correct in that case. I can't find in the readme detail descriptions for these specified additions, because the devteam evenly had no time to describe them in more details. |

Thanks God, someone understood the paragraph correctly. I had gotten many misunderstood PM's about that paragraph after I posted the change log. |

Hey, Aggie! Another Texan that was stationed at Millington at one time here. VP-67 1981-85. The old hangar is still up I presume? Don't suppose anything still lands there much now, eh? |

|
|
PA 1.1 Gltch Fix Pack is to mainly fix minor glitches and bugs in Pacific Aces 1.1, although it also includes some improvements.
The pack addresses and fixes the following issues:
- automatic switch of MK-14 torpedo speed to 31 kts when locked on a target;
- appearance of ships labelled as US merchants in Japanese convoys;
- Axis bases labelled as Allied when browsing the Wall Map in the Briefing Room;
- ship ID viewer would not show all the cargo types;
- disappearing bow of carrier Soryu at some distances (only for highLOD option users);
- old UDF for MLLCargo (only for highLOD option users; the correct file did not make to the Patch 1.1).
The pack includes improved damage screens for US subs with somewhat more accurate allocation of damage areas.
In addition, optional navigation screens with diving bubble for users of PM and manual dive planes.

I am going to remove the PA 1.1 Gltch Fix Pack download from my site in a short while to get some space for other things I would like to share. If someone can provide a download mirror for the Pack, this would be highly appreciated. |

Mine appears to be OK but getting back to base takes ages, bloody clock will not go past x 512
Sergebuto: what would be the bandwidth requirements for this patch per month approximately? It may be worth youemailing me with the answer, I work nights, and might not be back in for a while......
My site has a 35gb bandwidth/month by the way. |

Red Devil,
I think your site is well suited for that. I do not think that the pack will need that high bandwidth at all. Thanks for offering. |
