If I'm understanding you right, you want a picture in your signature? Or any post for that matter. If so upload to a website, and then put the img tags like so [img]linktopic[/img] where link to pic is that's where you put the url to the picture you want. Here's an example: (whipped by my girlfriend so have to follow directions )
Here's the link to a picture she wants on her website;
http://www.flashfire-games.com/showletter.GIF
Now with the code it looks like this;
Code: | [img]ftp://ftp.flashfire-games.com/public_html/ShowLetter.gif[/img] |
Now put that in without the code tag and it should come up as so: |

You have a few choices here m8.
if you have the picture you want to use in your signature you will need a webserver (website) that you can upload it to.
Most ISP's offers 5-10megabytes of webspace with the connection packages, Im sure yours does too.
Then you just need an FTP Client to upload the picture to the server. ( www.smartftp.com free ftp client for windows).
Make sure that the picture is jpg or png or gif and as small in h/w size and in kilobytes to preserve your webservers bandwidth (most ISP's only offers 100MB/mo and charges you for whatever you exceeds it with on their free servers).
option #2, there is 28 tonnes of free website providers, you can sign up at one of them and upload your picture there.
option #3 if you know a website that has the picture you want to use you can simply link to that, (neat eh? hehe).
In your profile: http://207.44.164.159/phpBB/profile.php?mode=editprofile
go and edit your signature and add
Code: | [img]http://your_isp provided_site/your_picture_filename.extension[/img]
or
[img]http://your_free_webhosters_site/your_picture_filename.extension[/img]
or
[img]http://the_site_where_the picture is/the_picture_filename.extension[/img] |
it will look like this:
this picture is an option #3
Oh and its no wonder that Chad's picture doesnt work.
I have never seen a FTP site that allows you to view a picture
And if youre using Mozilla it will attempt to login to the ftpserver, very bad post Mr. Chad, you should remove the ftp:// from your post |
