It's pretty fun. One of the better massive online games certainly. Being a lowly infantryman isn't that great, but jumping in some armor is amazingly fun in it.
Though, I haven't played in awhile, I don't know what has changed. I tend to get bored of massive online games once I've played them for a few months. |

WWIIOL has come a long way.
1) Make sure you have a decent machine to run it on. Otherwise your frame rate may be too low. I have XP2600 and 1 gig ram and a good video card. This is especially true if you fly.
2) WWIIOL has a pretty steep learning curve. Ask questions. Most of the guys are pretty friendly and will try and help you out
3) Join a squad or ask to tag along with one. Makes the experience a whole lot better.
4) Practice offline with the various stuff.
5) Don't visit the WWIIOL forums. Their are some real idiots in there. |

Ouch!
I wonder if my machine is capable to run this game. My vacation begins this weekend, so i have to try it then.
Edit: "Aces High" seems good too.
Thank you all.

I'm playing this game since release and its only getting better! The devs are working hard on improving this game and are dedicated to their project. The naval aspect of the game got enhanced by adding destroyers and freighters into the game. Now You can load trucks and tanks onto a freighter, infantry can board and move around the ships and the freighter can transport them to other places. All ships can be multicrewed by 2 players.
New tree models and damage models are in the game as well.
Get a recent player-made video here with some Destroyer action:

You can download the game for free from the above mentioned website and try the vehicles offline. To play online You need an account though... |

I only got that game in the beginning for the promised naval stuff including subs. I use to be a Colonel in the GHC (german high command, official command group for the axis) till i got fed up with the devs tending to pander to the allies (like the char and responding to whines that we could shoot out its guns and effectivly disable it (they called it the glass gun char) so the devs made it invulnerable (even though every other tank/weapons platform in the game could also have its gun(s) destroyed, it was just more noticable in the char as the char could take way more of a pounding).
That and i got sick of fighting in the same places over and over and over like i was in the movie "groundhogs day".
This was well over a year ago that i played it however.. |

Ya that game was weird at the begining, reminds me of the time when i put ever single round in my 88 gun into a char and it was still alive at the end and aparently unharmed. thing looked like swiss cheeze |

Aces High has H2H 8 player free with no time frame. The main arena is free for 2 weeks and $15/month afterwards! |
