The MP game appears to have been tuned down on the speed in a attempt to put more realism, but i think it could be improved even far. Smoke grenades can be implemented such as the ones in MOHAA,more real life character movement. Unfortunately i see COD as a second line 3dshooter not far different from MOHAA, even older titles like Operation Flashpoint or any of the Delta Force series can outgun COD. |

I would love to see a proper tactical ww2 shooter like 'Operation Flashpoint.' Even though its getting on a bit that game is still so damn good. The WW2 mods for it are great but you have to be careful if 'mixing and matching'
I know theres Hidden and Dangerous 2 but I prefer the 'OpFlash' style myself.
To be honest, I got bored of COD during that level when you had to shoot down wave after wave of Stukas. What happened there, did the designers just go on holiday and left it up to 5 year old to finish? :nope: |

Oche, you can watch for Brothers in Arms for a tactical experience. You command a squad of soldiers and can organize different fireteams and such. See the thread in here on it. |

I have played some of the new United Offensive maps and they are GREAT !!!
There are about 10 new and bigger maps for MP and most are with operational
vehicles with firing guns. There is also small MGs which you can carry around
and set up either prone or on certain objects. (they use tripods) There are 3
new game types: Domination (flag zones which you change to your side)
Base Assault (something like Battlefield 1942 but you have to destroy enemy
base) and last is my favorite Capture the Flag (your side has to defend your
flag while trying to capture enemy flag and return it to your flag) There are also
5 different ranks you achieve to control certain things like binoculars etc.
All in all, a very good expansion to Call of Duty. I did not see any thing about
aircraft in MP. Maybe it will be in the single games only...
JIM
PS. They have Smoke Grenades now !!! |

Well CoD United Offensive kicks butt. Vehicles add allot. The maps are huge. And Brothers in Arms is delayed until next spring. |

After years and years of WW2 shooter, sim, and strategy games I'm almost completely WW2'd out. I haven't played COD in awhile now and don't plan on getting the expansion either. Enough already! Give me more games from a different era to choose from dammit!
I think SH3 may be the only WW2 game I plan on getting anytime soon. |

How about some Korea action :hmm:
I had a great uncle there in the Marines, he was at Inchon and Chosin
He's sorta the dude I look up to
ON th cod note, I plan on getting UO addon, as I have been waiting for COD to be more like DOD, with mobile MG's and the such. I love to snipe on that game too, not the camping kind, mor like skirmishing, takin a guy or two, fall back, set up, take a few more shots, etc. Seems to do well for me! |

I'm sure I'll end up getting that sometime soon, hell I still play MTW on occasion. I just meant - as far as getting any new WW2 games goes - it's not gonna happen since I have far too many as it is and I've become sick of it. Excepting SH3. |
