I think what you have done so far is fantastic! If the gameplay is good, add some good sound effects and you will have a great sim! Gameplay is the key, graghics , eye candy and gimmicks only go so far and get boring , but good gameplay is the key. If Sub Battle Simulator could be updated with better sound effects, I would still be playing it. Keep us posted on your progress. Joe S |

Is this project still under development?
Lot of people is waiting for a fully working 3D U-boat in which you can walk around freely, and operate the different systems, as described in your page.
SHIII hasn't this sort of features, so you aren't out of businness. |

BTT.
Leif - if you've done any more work on your sim we'd all like to hear about it. |

There hasn’t been much progress lately due to, as always, lack of time. However it’s the convoy system that has been in focus. I can now define any number of convoys and they can all follow their own path of latitude/longitude waypoints and make turns without loosing formation.
I’ve also been playing with the clouds and the sun, making the sun dim down when behind clouds for example.
What’s really irritating though is that as I go along I learn new “tricks of the trade” which makes me unhappy with my older work. I would really like to redo a lot of the graphics and physics code and how they interact. For instance divide them into separate threads and run them with different speeds. But then the spare time problem comes in.
Also I have changed ISP so the VIIC project site may suddenly disappear, I can’t access it myself anymore.
