Hi Guys

There is an error in SCU, ... that if you set the Sierra-II to be playable ... not only does the ESM Mast on the Sierra-II not function ...... IT WILL ALSO REMOVE THE ESM MAST FROM THE AKULA-I Improved and AKULA-II ... PERMANENTLY. You cannot fix it, .. unless you Hex Edit the Database.

I have posted a fix for this problem, ... which also corrects the 688 VLS Mast issue.

The fix contains a new database, and a new data file for SCU.

It's a Zip file, ... just download it, ... and Extract to your Sub Command folder.

Sorry, I don't have time at the moment ( leaving on a 3 day trip ) to package this fix properly, ... nor reload updated executables.

As soon as I return, ... I'll sort out all the downloads.

Here's the link to the ESM Mast fix:-

Cheers
Tom

Not possible. Confused

Firstly, the SCU data tries to allocate 2 different ESM Masts to the Sierra-II, which is why the ESM Mast on the Sierra doesn't work.

Secondly, one of the Masts it allocates ... is the Akula's ESM Mast, thereby removing it from the Akula ... i.e. You can't allocate more than one Sensor to the same Mast.

When you use SCU to switch Subs from the Sierra to something else, ... it restores the original data for the Sierra, ... but, obviously doesn't restore the data for the Akula.

So, I don't know what you are doing ... Confused

Yikes!! .. I'm running late .... gotta rush. Surprised

Cheers

would i be correct in saying that the file "PlayableSubData.txt" must be extracted to the Sub Command\Bin folder, and that the rest of the files must be extracted to the Sub Command\Database folder? It looks to me like if you just extracted all of the files to your Sub Command root folder, the fix would have no effect...

Waiting on an answer before I apply the fix Very Happy Thanks a million...

You are correct Tim that is where the files end up. If you use the WinZip Wizerd they will automaticly be extracted to the folders by unziping to the SC directory.

the file within the zip have their paths saved.

so if you look in the zip file you will see two folders - bin and database.

When extracted into your SC folder the files within the folders (in zip) will get extracted into the folders in you SC directory

Hope this helps

Hi Thomasew,

Will this update and the new seawolf&oscar models be included in the SCX_Project_IIc.exe?
