Well, Thanx for ur assitance. But no joy. Black screen..................

1) Just curious....does this download and transfering of files require a copy of Destroyer Command.

2) Also, since I ordered a copy of the PA on cd will it have all the necessary files.

I just received my PA cd in the mail. I installed and it looked at first like it was going to run fine. However, the screen menus have this flickering thing going on and when I select single mission it appears as though the mission is loading till I get this message as follows:

Error - 1 [unknown unit category.]
DirectX code: "unrecoginized error: oxffffffff"

Any thoughts on how to correct this. Anyone...................Bueller........................Bueller.....

Surprised you have not had a reply yet but going back a little to the "black screen" - I believe this is the SH Blank. Do a 3 finger salute on the black screen and task manager pops up, click on SH Blank Screen to delete it and game should run. It happens to me now and again.

Red Devil, the PA weather mod goes under the Topp folder, Weather sub-folder and either Good, Medium or Bad Sub-Sub Folders. Cheers

README

This add-on includes:

- Model (JRF), unit (UDF), and system (ADF) files for S-class sub and Mk-10 torpedoes. The model was created by TLAM Strike, textured by 2019, and converted to JRF by Canarb. I somewhat modified UDF and ADF to get them in line with PA requirements.

- Possibility to use this sub in the campaign mode and to create campaign for 1942.

- Possibility to view this type of sub in the Ship Viewer.

- F11 screen (torpedo room) will correctly show torpedoes as beeing of Mk-10 type.

- Specific damage screen. The corresponding TGA was made by Eweber. Note, damage areas will be highlighted coorectly in the damage screen only for 1024 res for now.

INSTALLATION

Files in the archive are already sorted to correct folders. Copy them to the corresponding folders in your installation.

Be advised that the rainmod patch that WAS in my downloads file has been removed and quarantined by my hosts servers due to "something" being found within. I know not what but it was a "bug"of sorts.
