|
|
I'd like to do my bit in supporting Subsim by pre-ordering SHIII through the Subsim store. However, when I follow the link to the UK store SHIII isn't featured on the page, and the search facility doesn't appear to work. Any body else had this problem, or any suggestions if I'm doing something wrong? |

I tried to find a European site supported by Subsim were to order SHIII but found none. Chips and Bits is way too expensive to use for Europe deliveries, the shipping and handling is about the same as the price of the game so doubling its total costs.
I am more than willing to help subsim wich I already do, but buying games, however the actual system is too expensive for me. I already asked Neal to find a more convenient way for Europe members and I am waiting his response. |

Check out www.duchet.com. They're UK based and I've used them many times and can't find anything bad to say about them. |

The game would be able to be purchased from many places. I was meant doing it in a place where my shopping could bring some benefit to our beloved Subsim.com.
We all are taking much benefits from Subsim and I guess we are to try to supprot their efforts, their server download and forums with donations and if possible buying our games in shops where our shopping brings some "incentive" to Subsim.
So far the only option is mostly valid for US people because for Europeans the delivery costs are really HIGH on that online shop. Even compared with Amazon or other US based Online shops.
Hope this gets sorted out in time. |

I agree. I got both Sub Command and SHII from the US in order to get them before the Euro releases, but it really cost a hand and a foot. Considering the limited entertainment value of SHII I will probably be a bit more patient and wait until SHIII is availible from European retailers before buying. If Neil could arrange something with a European game store, I would most certainly buy through Sub Sim in order to support this fantastic site. |

I agree, it's not a good idea for Euro and Aussie players to use Subsim (Chips), too expensive. I hope that SH3 will bevavilable through the Amazon UK Subsim Store, probably will be listed 3 or 4 months before the release.
thanks! |

I beleive all you have to do is go to the Subsim Store, there's a link to the Amazon UK next to Churchill. Do a search and Subsim should get the 5% from sales there. Maybe I need to add a banner in here to the UK and German Amazon links ... |

Ahooi Gentlemen
Hey Furia you only beat me on "above us the waves". I think you are gonna be disapointed with "U-Boat Commander" by Gunter Prien. He was a better CO then a writer
Salud from Portugal. |

Look Furia if you want to read about the life of Prien BEFORE he goes to the Kriegsmarine go ahead.
But if you, like myself, like histories with details of what happened during the war that book is not an option. |

Thnks for the advice, I have enough reading material for the next week (that order plus some stuff from US Naval Institute)
